wedding center piece bandit

from now on, i'll be on a mission to grab at least one floral center piece at wedding banquets if left over.

i was at a wedding recently and someone just handed me an unwanted bouquet of flowers in a vase.   you don't understand how many times this happens.

instead of wasting the flowers and throwing them away, i delivered a lovely vase of roses and lilies to the senior center right down my street.   it was very welcomed by the staff.  what a great feeling!

my cousin is getting married soon.  i wonder if i can talk her into repurposing the unwanted flowers from her wedding to a local convalescent home.

just make sure they're available for guests to take home. some florists want certain items (like the holders) back and will charge the b/g if they go missing. usually the dj will make an announcement on whether guests can take the centerpeices home or not. we purchased all the boxes that our centerpieces came in from our florist so that our guests could take them home.

i bet your cousin will be all for it. wish i'd thought of this for my wedding. we still had a bunch left over since a lot of our relatives flew in for the wedding. they were brought back to our place but we left on our honeymoon and they died. :( i did like having one at our place though. so pretty!
